I will not tell a lie. I don’t like fundraising. I just don’t. Which is hilarious that I’m working in a position where one of my biggest responsibilities is to help people fundraise. I don’t like asking for help, the culture I grew up in didn’t teach me that very well. But I really believe that this is a (huge) opportunity to learn otherwise. And I’m learning OH so much…

Because I don’t like fundraising, yet have been led to + putting myself in positions where I have to fundraise, I have to make it FUN. I trick my mind into enjoying it. I’m getting closer.

Which is why I have this dream that I’m inviting you into. I love community, and I love creativity. And I thought Papa would place me into a position that would allow these things to come together. When I accepted the Admissions Advisor position with AIM, I thought to myself “this is definitely not what I had in mind when you put this dream in my heart,” Little did I know He was going to encourage me to think outside the box. Like always.

I am in a position where I need to raise $500 a month in order to stay on track with my fundraising goals. I am currently behind and in a deficit of $387 worth of monthly support.

I want to support my monthly supporters. Because without you, I cannot do what I do. And without you, the organization cannot do what we do. And without you, I would not have had such an incredible World Race experience, in which I now get to pass on to participants that I speak with everyday.

If you choose to become a monthly supporter, I have created a private Facebook group in order to cultivate a community in a creative way. “Ezrah Area” Ezrah is the Hebrew word meaning “to help” or “support. So, let’s support each other.

How I imagine this happening is you will be invited to a space where we can pray with/ for each other and learn from each other. I will give monthly updates on what AIM is doing in the world, as well as what I am learning through the position. I’ll update you on what’s going on in my life + what Papa is teaching me, because MAN He is teaching me so much these days. I want to learn from you, too. I want to pray alongside you. Life is hard and so much happens everyday, I want to create a space where we can come and just be. And because you know my love languages you will most likely receive spontaneous letters & art. Just cause you’re cool.
